Overview

Tripsacum floridanum, commonly known as Florida Gamagrass, is a robust perennial grass native to the subtropical regions of Florida. Featuring tall, upright growth, it reaches 5-6 feet in height with broad, blue-green blades. Its unique, tassel-like yellow flowers emerge in summer, adding texture and interest to the landscape. Preferring full sun to partial shade, this grass thrives in moist, well-drained soils and is excellent for naturalized or wildflower gardens.
