Overview

The Ficus elastica 'Abidjan' is a refined rubber plant with sleek, ovate leaves of very dark reddish purple-green, nearly black, accented by red new-growth sheaths. Indoors it typically matures 4-10 feet tall with an upright, architectural habit. Grow in bright to medium light, using a well-drained potting mix and watering after the top few inches dry. Hardy in USDA Zones 10-12.
