Overview

The Japanese Aralia, or Fatsia japonica, is an evergreen shrub that reaches 6 to 10 feet high and wide. It features large, deeply lobed leaves up to 16 inches across and small creamy-white flowers in late fall, followed by blackberries. Thrives in part to full shade and well-drained soil. Its bold texture creates a tropical effect, ideal for understory plantings or as a focal point in a shady garden design.
