Overview
The California Desert Milkweed (Asclepias erosa), endemic to southwestern US deserts, is a drought-tolerant perennial. It features stout stems with narrow leaves up to 4 inches long. In spring and summer, it presents creamy yellow to greenish-white flowers in complex clusters. This milkweed stands up to 3 feet tall and spreads about 2 feet wide, attracting butterflies, especially monarchs. Ideal for xeriscaping, it thrives in full sun and well-draining soils.
