Palmer's Agave

Overview

Palmer's Agave (Agave palmeri) is a statuesque, drought-resistant succulent reaching 2-3 feet in height and spreading up to 6 feet in width. It boasts a rosette of grey-green leaves with sharp terminal spines. Ideal for xeriscapes, it thrives in full sun and well-draining soil. This slow-growing native of the Southwest produces a towering flower stalk up to 15 feet tall, bearing yellow blossoms after 10 years, typically resulting in the plant's death post-blooming.
